God, people, and life
My name is Marjolein (Jo) de Blois. I was born in the Netherlands. I had an international upbringing and spent my life on four different continents. I currently live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and work at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.
In May 2021, I obtained a PhD degree in Theology (Biblical Studies). God is my foremost source of truth and interest.
Before I studied theology, I studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands. These studies focused on culture, lives, globalization and the way societies operate.
I desire that my studies are a reflection of my priorities in life and that these priorities are evident in my writing. I want to place God highest, while acknowledging that the love for God is expressed in the love for people. When we exercise these two, we will grow in the wisdom of life.
